1723 Wood’s Hibernia Halfpenny, Very Fine, Environmental Damage, Martin 4.68-Gb.9, W-13120, R.4. 107.56 grains. 11 harp strings, two dots on reverse. A bit of corrosion and verdigris is largely limited to the lower obverse, which also shows a few ancient pinscratches. Both sides show all major details well and offer excellent color. The late-state reverse is quite appealing and shows the numerous rim cuds that this variety typically demonstrates. Ex: Bill Gleckler Collection. Comes with collector envelope and attribution notation. Listed on page 46 of the 2020 Guide Book. (If you have a 2021 edition, it’s close to the same place.)
