1865-S Seated Half Dollar, XF45 NGC, Elusive Civil War Issue. Small Thin S mintmark. This last-year Civil War San Francisco issue is very elusive in the high circulated grades. This piece features coin-gray patina overall with some deeper russet tones through the central obverse. There are no major marks, although we see a pair of small nicks on Liberty’s left (facing) arm.
