1874 Gold Dollar, Splendid MS63 PCGS CAC, Seldom Seen as Such. It is not difficult to find MS63 examples of the 1874 gold dollar issue, a plentiful Type 3 issue. What is difficult is to find a nice one that has also met CAC approval. This piece passes the test, with relatively mark-free surfaces beyond some light obverse field chatter and consistent wheat-gold patina on both sides.
