1883 Indian Head Cent, Nicely Toned MS65BN PCGS. Even though the 1883 Indian cent issue was the largest of the decade at 45 million+ pieces, the large majority of those coins went promptly into circulation, and today Gem survivors are scarce. Pretty rose and pastel blue toning complement a sharp strike with a few light marks on this Gem, but a spot on the reverse is worth mentioning. Higher-grade examples are elusive. PCGS Population: 45 in 65BN, 8 finer (6/2022).
