1883 No CENTS Liberty Nickel, Satiny MS64 PCGS, Great Type Coin. A satiny, untoned near-Gem example of this one-year and first-year type, replaced by the With CENTS variety later in the year after “sharpers” tried to gold-plate these coins and pass them off as five dollar gold pieces. Excellent eye appeal throughout for the grade.
