1884-CC Morgan Dollar PCGS MS65 Silvery, Sharp, Untoned. VAM-6, R.5. High-end for the grade, with a clean cheek on Liberty, a sharp strike, and few marks. Another candidate for CAC submission, in our view. These will be more expensive when we get them back! This one is a VAM-6, showing a tiny extra lump aside the right-lower first 8 in the date. The reverse features intersecting die lines above the bow and lowest-left leaves, as well as another tiny die bulge protruding from the ninth outer feather edge on the right side. This is not an extremely rare VAM, but neither is it common. (Thanks to PCGS Forum member Hallco for catching the VAM on this, which we had overlooked.) We confirmed it as VAM-6, and as always, we guarantee all attributions (like all our certified coins) with a no-hassle money-back return policy. In any case, this is an extremely nice, untoned Gem of this popular Carson City date.
