1892-Pi MR 8 Reales Mexico, Lightly Toned MS64 PCGS Pop 1/1. This is a powerfully struck and nicely preserved example of this issue struck at the Potosí mint, with some interesting peripheral obverse die cracks from a die that was clearly overworked. Unlike most of this hoard, this coin shows only a light blush of golden toning. Nonetheless, unlike the vast majority of survivors of this series, this coin offers strictly original surfaces that have never been cleaned or dipped. So many Cap and Rays 8 reales that one sees at shows have been scrubbed, dipped, and otherwise abused so that the surfaces lack any sign of luster or vibrancy. This is the lone MS64 at PCGS, although one MS65 is finer (2/2018).
