1907-D Liberty Double Eagle, MS62 PCGS, Popular Last-Year Denver Issue. In its second year of operations as a national mint, Denver struck its last Liberty Head double eagle issue. It is not rare, nor yet is it as common as many of its P-mint counterparts from the same decade. The six 1906- and 1907-PDS issues make a very popular short set of double eagles as well, if you are so inclined. This piece, certified in an early blue-label holder (that is rather scuffy on the reverse, as that side’s closeup shows), is quite appealing with orange-gold centers ceding to some greenish-gold near the rims.
