Description
1916 Lincoln Cent MS66RB PCGS ‘Ruddy Gold’. The 1916 date is a favorite of ours because the master dies were redone at the Mint in this year, and most examples from this year and a couple following show excellent detail when the strikes are bold. Such is the case here, with a full beard and coat on President Lincoln and sharp wheat ears on the reverse. Ruddy red obverse color complements pretty auburn-gold reverse hues. PCGS Population: 23 in 66RB, 1 finer (6/2020).
