As longtime collectors as well as dealers, we buy coins that “speak to us” in terms of great eye appeal, luster, and all-around collectability. Everything else is secondary to that, especially price. If you just want a meh 1917-D Type Two, sure, shop around, you’ll find one cheaper. But nicely toned Standing Liberty quarters are really tough to find, especially combined with minimal marks and good luster. I would say among 19th–early 20th century silver types, only Barber halves are tougher with those same criteria. A coin you will never regret buying.
