1926-D Standing Liberty Quarter, PQ Lightly Toned MS64 PCGS. This is a great Premium Quality near-Gem Standing Liberty quarter, only lightly toned at the extreme rims and with blinding luster, close to Prooflike. The late twenties aka Roaring Twenties were the heyday for the SLQ series, with relatively higher mintages. The 1926-D is a common date (hence great for type), but this is an uncommonly nice example. There are some cool branching die cracks prominent near the obverse top rim (sign of a well-worked die), as well as one sneaky one on the lower obverse joining the pediment to star 8 (bottom right).
