1962 Jefferson Nickel PR67 ‘Azulejo’. ‘Azulejos’ are the pretty (usually blue) ceramic glazed tiles used in Spanish and Portuguese buildings. This pretty Superb Gem proof’s prevailing blue color reminds me of those, and especially of my visit during 9/11/01 (memorable for other unfortunate reasons as well, of course) to the Casa de los Azulejos in Mexico City.
