South Africa 1992 20 Cents PR67RB PCGS Pop 3/0 Outrageously Gorgeous! KM-136. These little jewels are struck in proof finish on brass-plated steel, which may explain why they acquire such incredible patina. (Look at CoinFacts for this coin and the other two; mighty nice!) Anyway, the Trueview does a pretty good job showing what this actually looks like. Great honey-gold and amber patina on the obverse with a tinge of pink, blooming out on the reverse into stunning yellow-green and fuchsia color. These were issued in the 1992 proof sets with a mintage around 10,000 pieces. The King Protea flower (Protea cynaroides) is a recurrent theme in South African coinage and the national flower. One of three in this top grade at PCGS (7/2020).
