1820 Large Date Cent N-13 MS64 Brown NGC Ex: Gardner. A beautifully toned and minimally abraded example of this Coronet Head large cent. The encircling die cracks around the obverse help identify this as the N-13 Large Date variety, one of the die marriages found in abundance in the Nichols Hoard. Golden, rose, and blue patina amid a sharp strike and top-notch eye appeal. We bought this coin from the Heritage auction of the Gene Gardner Collection, so that should indicate how high the eye appeal of this piece is.
