1921-S Lincoln Cent Semikey, Immaculate MS65 Brown PCGS CAC. An amazingly pleasing example of this issue, which so often comes on streaky planchets or with mushy strikes on the date (especially the crucial last 1) or the reverse. This piece is absolutely hammered throughout, with nice light-brown surfaces full of luster and simply no flaws worth mentioning. We rejected several other (far less expensive, to us and therefore to you) examples of this coin in the exact same grade before deciding on this one. The last two to appear at auction in this grade brought $1,234 (Legend, a CAC coin like this one but not as nice) and $1,410 (Heritage, a non-CAC coin, and before they hiked their Buyer’s Premium from 17.5% to 20%). This one won’t last long here. PCGS Population: 9 in 65 Brown, 1 MS65+ finer. CAC Population: 6 in 65 Brown, 0 finer (6/2018).
