San Marino 1975 500 Lire Numismatic Agency MS67 PCGS Beautiful Color! 11.0 gm 0.835 silver, 0.2953 oz ASW. 29 mm. KM-48. The three towers are a recurrent theme for San Marino, and the ancient woodcutter (or metal cutter?) on the reverse apparently refers to the opening in this year of the San Marino Numismatic Agency. Beautifully toned in a typical color pattern for these aesthetically pleasing issues. After the initial mintage of 200,000 coins, nearly 48,000 were melted at the mint, leaving an emission of 152,000 pieces.
