Conder Tokens

Conder Tokens
Collectors love these classic (mostly) copper tokens from the British Isles, struck in farthing (a “fourth-of-a-thing”), halfpenny, and penny sizes in the late 18th century when old King George III thought it was igNoble for the Royal Visage to appear on so base a metal. The first copper tokens were struck as trade or emergency money, but they soon became a collecting mania. Sort of like they are today.
