Brilliant 1878-CC VAM-9 ‘CC Right’ Morgan Dollar, MS63 NGC. The surfaces are largely brilliant and boast radiant cartwheel luster, with a slight blush of gold-rose in a narrow band at the center obverse. The VAM-9 has a lot of “busyness” going on in the lower reverse, but we were able to capture the most obvious diagnostic, the “Speared O,” a straight die line running from a leaf tip through the O in ONE. A nice, appealing example for the grade of this popular first-year Carson City issue.
