1838 Half Dime No Drapery, Large Stars, AU55 PCGS, Delightful Type Coin. An excellent Choice AU representative of the Stars, No Drapery subtype, which lasted only from 1838 through 1840. Considerable muted luster remains in the fields on both sides, with deep olive and sunset-orange patina. The strike is bold near the rims but somewhat blunt in the immediate centers at HA on the reverse and correspondingly at LIBERTY on the obverse shield.
