1863 Copper-Nickel Indian Cent, MS63 NGC CAC. An appealing example of this short-lived Copper-Nickel type, which lasted only from 1860 through 1864 if one excludes the No Shield on Reverse 1859, which is technically a one-year subtype. The surfaces are relatively free of distractions, putting this coin well within the upper echelons of the grade—and recognized as such by CAC.
