1964 Jefferson Nickel, Rainbow-Toned PR67 PCGS ‘Fire and Rain’. If this title (and this coin) make you think of the old James Taylor classic, you’ve got a friend. (See, that was my little joke there.) The obverse has President Jefferson facing west into the colors of the setting sun (appropriate for the President who oversaw the Louisiana Purchase), while on the reverse, Monticello looks like it is in for a rainy afternoon. A simply gorgeous coin.
